Update #1 ZOMBIE STRIPPERS!



Well... its coming, eventually. I'm trying to finish the 4th draft of a script a started back in November. It should be done soonish and once its done I will begin with drawing the main character, Mazer.

Fuck my pessimism, I'm going to get shit done this year. Between the two things I want to do (D_L monthlies and SIRUS), this will be great practice for drawing non-female characters.



I know you guys noticed the post about Mazer liking the idea of his dreams being turned into a comic or series and my quote speaking about my interest and Smirkytrick's post talking about a collaboration... I know you know I know you know so now you know.

On that rather strange note this is a multipurpose thread that will be used to discuss various things like concepts, what type of art style to go for, what tone and whether it should be a continuous thing or self contained. That said I'm wondering whether this should be comical, serious or adventure-y (etc) and then the matter of art style and all that jazz so yeah, that will be discussed here. Also, concept art posted will be reposted here in the OP for all to see.

Now then, a collaboration between three people, or two (I dunno, that's what this thread is here to help with). The two artists in question though are Smirkytrick and I. How will our two styles combine? Well, we don't know yet. Who will do the writing? Well, that's also not set in stone yet (though it'd make more sense to have Mazer do the writing seeing as they're his dreams and all). Also the title isn't set yet either. Anyways, chat and suggest away or I will devour your souls!

Well perhaps Legend can make the normal looking people and smirky can focus on the strange warped creatures of my dreams? (like for the stripper one, Legend draws the strippers whereas Smirky draws the psychotic clowns, zombies and zmog weirdness?)

Someone suggested that my dreams be made into comics. So I am telling people to do it LEgend and smirky are both interested but u should ry it too Luxy

Not really...just the idea of making either comics based off of WSS, or my dreams. XD

Anywho, how the heck should the tone be handled? Should it be straight comedy, maybe more adventure oriented with some humor every now and again, should it be uber serious, maybe dark? This needs to be discussed!

I'd say dark humour, seems kinda fitting

I think we should make it a dark comedy adventure. seeing how twisted, random, and epic it is.

P.S. I don't mind you showing off my work, I consider it an honor when someone does that. :)

Personally, I just say every "issue" should straight up be the actual dream itself. Or is this the dreams as well the members of WSS as a whole? I thought it was going to be my psycho trippiness XD

Well yeah, they will be based on your dreams, Mazer, but we do need a title unless WSS is okay then nvm lol.

As far as how this would be handled, I'm think multiple ongoing strips. Like one strip will be 4 panels and then the next will come out like the following week and continue the story until the entire thing is complete. So each dream will be handled one piece at a time sort of, makes it simpler on us and also allows people to see it and continually give feedback as we progress.

hmm, what if, say, after each dream is complete we do a mini crossover into other peoples imaginations kinda like an intermission of sorts.

I wouldn't mind that. It allows more WSS interaction

Also, what do you guys think of this, "Mind of Madness" or "Minds of Madness" ?
