Building a character Part 1 - Choose your species
The first thing you must do is decide the species of your character. Each species will focus on specific traits that will adjust what special abilities they will get later on in the game.
Here are the primary species of our game.
Human
- Humans are the balanced character. These characters are rounded out in all the classes and skills and other characters may react to them better as humans are the primary race in this game. However, they will may be treated differently and even agressivly by other species.
Elf
- Elves have speed, agility, and are strong in magic of nature and the heavens. They are very species-minded and usually will focus on their own people than those others around them. Unfortunatly they are also the prime target of slavers who wish to use their beauty for...terrible...means.
Orcs
- Tempermental and untrustworthy, Orcs lean towards brute strength and viciousness to get the job done. Fantastic creatures for intimdation tactics and getting their way. Unfortunatly, most people shoot first, ask questions later, when they are dealing with an Orc.
Furry - Canine
- Strong, swift, and possessing a keen scent of smell and hearing, canine furries are a very powerful species indeed. They are tribal by nature although many of them have abanonded their packs to leave quiet, solitary lives. Because of their feirce nature, many have become Rogues and Mercenaries. However, they are usually forced to keep their identity hidden as they are mistaken for Werewolves. They are also hunted down for their pelts and because of their animal instincts, tend to behave erractically.
Canines cannot use magic.
Furry - Feline
-Fast, acrobatic, and dangerous, Felines are natural born predators. They live solitary lives and have advanced senses of smell, hearing, and can see in the dark. They are naturally equipped with razor-sharp claws and can move through the most dense of foliage without being heard. They are very anti-social and its hard for them to get along with others. They are also heavily saught after by slavers for their beauty and sensuality. They do not use any armor for it slows them down, and prefer using small arms that they can easily hide in their clothing.
Felines cannot use magic.
Dwarf
- Small, strong, and highly intelligent, these little barbarians are masters of the machine. They are able to craft their own armor and weapons, and if they practice hard enough, even work on SteamPunk machinery. They are as strong as they are tempermental and they are ususally very arrogant. They cannot use magic, and are very tempted by any form of alcohol when its presented to them. Their drunken behavior can sometimes cause more problems than solutions.
Anthro Horse
- These powerful beasts of burden are found all throughout the wild plains. They are an intelligent species of creature that are sensitive to the earth as well as the spiritual realm that surrounds them. Quiet by nature, they are experts in studying the land, watching those around them, and carry with them a passion for adventure and freedom.
Neko
- A human, feline hybrid, these lovable little critters are as feisty as they are mischevious. They are usually seen wandering around by themselves, little scamps who cherish getting into trouble and hunting down their next treasure. However, it is rare for such a creature to be cold-hearted as most of them see life as a joyous game to be enjoyed to the fullest.
