I guessed as much, unfortunately I can't do those level quests until I have finished G rank, which I what I can't do due to the atrocious barricading of content.

Having said that, there were some more issues with this one that I can't really discuss without spoiling it. I will say that the action was good as you'd expect and most of the humor was good, though some of it fell flat and there were a couple times where I could literally predict a character's snarky comment before they even said it. The movie definitely felt checklist-y at times too.

not talking continuity or w/e, just wondering if you thought the movie was as good or better but it seems that may not be the case :\

ah well

It feels so similar to the first one that I'm not sure which I think is better. I will say that I still prefer Guardians just because I like the characters and setting more, although that movie has a terrible villain.

A petition via Change.org that seeks to have Valve remove paid mods from Steam has reached more than 45,000 signatures since yesterday. The signature count is quickly growing with 30,000 signatures seven hours ago and 40,000 signatures four hours ago.

Petition creator Cand Wondel said the petition was created to combat all paid mods and not just the ones for Skyrim. Wondel said content in the Steam workshop should remain free.

“The workshop is a place for people to share content with each other they made so all can enjoy it for free,” Wondel wrote on the petition. “Since recently this is not the case for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Workshop. Valve has now erected a paywall for the mods. Mods should be a free creation. Creations made by people who wish to add to the game so others can also enjoy said creation with the game. We need to unite and reject this act by Valve. Unite have Valve remove the paid content of the Workshop. “

Wondel updated today to remind supporters not to spam about the paywalls Valve implemented on Steam and not to threaten Valve co-founder Gabe Newell’s or any other Valve employee’s life.

According to PC Gamer, one mod was already removed because it stole content from a free mod and attempted to sell it. Opponents of the mod paywall now use Chesko’s Fishing Mod as a poster child for why the system should go.

The /r/skyrim subreddit on popular social sharing site Reddit is a large opponent of the new system. All of the latest posts are critical of the new system.

However, PC Gamer writer Tyler Wilde sees paid mods as a good thing. According to Wilde, paying for mods will incentivize talented modders to continue working and releasing quality products. The funding could allow groups to undertake massive projects and produce additional content worthy of purchase.

Mod prices range anywhere from $.49 to $4.99. Players are able to purchase new weapons, towns and more through the Steam client.

What’s your take on paid mods? Have/are you going to sign this petition?

So what do the guys of WSS think of this?

If someone creates a mod, it should be their prerogative whether or not they charge a price for it (Provided that a cut of the price goes to the developer)

If somebody wants to charge for their mod, then let them do so.
Is Valve Forcing Content Creators to charge for mods? If not, then what's the big deal?

I don't mind this, just would like to know if a mod creator has to charge for a mod they publish on steam. Like, will Valve force anyone who wants to create mods for games to charge for them, because they'll get a cut of the profit, or what.
That's one reason many devs used to not release free content, via updates, on xbox live. MS required developers to charge for content or dlc, they didn't want anyone handing out free stuff.
If a mod creator wants to charge, or have the pay what you want option, I'm fine with it. Again, as long as it's in the hands of the mod creator and now valve dictating it down.

From what I've heard, this is happening only with the cooperation of the original devs. Bethesda gave the ok for this to happen with Skryim. So I'm guessing they are getting some sort of cut here.

I'm for this. Too many times I've seen mod support cease due to lack of motivation. If people are being paid for their content, they have the incentive to make more mods and keep up support.
