I think you did very well, Koeing. I was more irritated with my own performance/score throughout the matches. I think my weapons of choice just weren't cutting it for me.
My first gun - ran out of ink super fast, my 2nd gun was not bad but still wasn't as good as I am used too...after I quit, I switched back to the NES Zapper and did much better on a normal match alone before signing out

@Mazer: Ive been watching your video's. My best recommendation to you would be to aim higher when you are trying to paint the ground; the spread is not as clean, but you will paint more ground in the long run and be able to react slightly faster as well. Another tip I have is to try strafing more often with you ink form, as it will let you get the drop on enemies a lot more often. If you combine the two you can push hard into ungraded enemy territory, or make an escape into parts of the map if you have been pushed back.
One other tip I have is to paint the walls. Seriously, no one ever paints the walls, which means even if they entire floor of the map is painted you can get upwards of %25 of the map safe on a vertical plane. Just keep in mind that not all weapons are good at painting the walls, so only use it if you know it is an effective use of your time. (The rapid fire weapons and the paint brush tend to be the best for painting the walls, though some of the rollers are decent)
Also hiding in plants in the stage with the wooden ramps and water pits are great hiding places. No one expects it and you just ramp up the kills. I've been doing in those recently and it's awesome.
