So my older brother bought a 48" 1080P TV yesterday and we've been watching movies and junk on it.

Dredd's so goood but the cinematography choices to alternate between a soft/blurry image and a good and crisp image bug me. Fury Road is fucking glorious though, you can actually see the Gas Town warriors in the background when Furiosa tells Max to look behind him.

Damn right

Their choice to shoot in 3D irritates the piss out of me. Actually ruins the experience a lot. Plus so many editing mistakes - anyone catch the red blood turning poop brown in on scene?

Welp, I started watching Fringe. I was watching it for a while when it first came out, but I was turned off by its dark tone before things got it interesting. think I have enough of a stomach now to enjoy they show, but it is still wearing me down.

no, what scene is that?

Either way, still a great movie.

Either way, still a great movie.

There is a moment where they are in a square room with about 6-8 criminals and Dredd is able to slaughter them.

Once the camera goes wide as they leave, the blood on the ground is a shyt brown instead of red.

How in the hell is pointing out a massive color problem nitpicking?

It's like in the DVDs of Star Wars when the explosions in space were black and white and Skywalker's lightsaber was Green in the Falcon.

That's a legit complaint. Bad editing is a legit complaint >.<

I absolutely love the sci-fi setting and tone, but at the same time I find much of the content to be a little distasteful. More my own sense of ethics getting in the way, but something I take note of none the less.

How so? Also, I found it hard to get into it during the first season, but got hooked as it went on.

For example, take the episode where a girl gets dropped off at some street corner after being kidnapped/experimented on.  She wonders to a nearby store confused and crying, where upon everyone in the store such as those trying to help her and those behind the counter start dying terribly as they get microwaved to death by her, while she terrified, afraid and in excruciating pain backs up to the door only to have her head fucking explode.

That kinda shit does not leave me in a good mood, double so since it involved by-standards. I don't mark against the show objectively mind you, but it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth that can make it hard for me to enjoy the show.

No, Mazer; It sounds horrible. I would be fine with it were Fringe a "horror" or gorno series, however I have never seen it as either of those so I find this kind of content very much unwanted and seemingly out of place. In regular shows, this kind of stuff is a HUGE turn off for me.

That said, if this is your kind of thing, you might just love Fringe. Did I mention the episode where peoples brains were liquified and drained out of their nose/ears/mouth?

Anyways, what is Fringe? It sounds like horror with this kind of gore level o.O

Wha...?  You have never heard of Fring before?

Well then, here is a brief summary and a link to the Wiki.

Mad Scientist, Son, and FBI agents team up to solve crimes and mysteries involving sci-fi settings.  Teleportation, Pyrokinesis, Parallel universes, and all other manner of sci-fi are used in the show and in just about every way possible to comit a crime.
