Remember the game Jade Empire? I remember it being like the GOTY a long time ago. I picked it up for nostalgic reasons.

Jade Empire didn't get Goty. It got good reviews, but not Goty level. A lot of people were just disappointed that BioWare didn't make the sequel to Kotor. I'm included in this group.
I never did play it though, but I heard it was a cool game. Though the "evil" options in it weren't really evil, just asshole-ish.

I only played a demo for Jade Empire, and that was an incredibly long time ago, on xbox. It was one of the oxm demo discs, I believe. That or I played a bit at my cousin's house, I forget; the point is it was a long time ago.
