So, what are everybodies favorites so far?

My possible GOTY right now is, hands down:

Absolutely phenomenal game. The music, the art, the story, the combat, the world, the characters, the writing. Absolutely phenomenal! It is very melancholic but at the same time bitter sweet.



Still my favorite moment/piece of dialogue in a game. (I put "a" instead of "the" for a reason)

Other faves:

Lovely art, I really dig the aesthetic and setting and the music is just superb. Only real issues are that it is more of a SRPG and while technically it is an action rpg and could be played as one the game makes it very clear very early on that playing it like an action rpg is quite literally the wrong way to play. Even calling it an SRPG feels wrong because, the whole "turn()" mechanic aside, everything is in real time. When you use the turn() mechanic, you essentially pause the game to plan things out. Once you execute your plan Red just moves at hyper speed while things return to real time. It feels like a weird fusion of SRPG and maybe RTS though I have no experience with the latter so my description might be off completely.

I was a bit skeptical of the game's existence at first considering that the good ending of inFAMOUS 2 is cannon. I still am as the logic of the events preceding it still do not click with the fact that the game exists but the game in general was just a blast. Nothing quite matches the fun of simply running through the city with the Neon Endless Run ability, going through streets and effortlessly up buildings all in a jaw droppingly gorgeous game that still stands out as the best looking console game and best looking open world game around at least until, you know, Witcher 3 and Batman come out. inFAMOUS 1 and Second Son are my favorites of this series.

A return to form and just pure fun all around. Playing with items off is the best way to play and it's simply the best looking Wii U game right now, hands down.

Dark Souls II is the only 2014 game I've bought so far. It was pretty good.

I think the only 2014 game I have is South Park the stick of truth, a short game but to any huge fan of south park it's worth the buy. I think the only other game I'd like so far in FFX/X-2 HD Collection, haven't played it yet but I'm sure it's amazing

I am not sure what 2014 games I've bought...

Deception IV & South Park are two of them...Goat simulator is another...as was Wolfenstien but I have yet to play it...
