Well, there is a new Suda game coming for PS4, it's called Let It Die, and is some sort of free to play multiplayer death match kind of game... meh.
If you not aware of it, to play online with the PS4 you have to subscribe to PS+.

I am not interested in a MP only game even if it is Suda who is making it. Plus it's a freemium game. I don't likey that from him.

And yup. I know. Another negative of the PS4.

Pros:

Some cool anime style JRPGs that I like
Multiplats play better on it (still angry over MKX and cautious over Batman AK)
the Plus discounts
Ratchet and Clank

Cons:

Zero PS1 and PS2 compatibility. The PS3 I get. Fine. No PS1? At all? None? Or PS2? Already irritated as hell my PS3 cannot play PS2 games.

Mandatory PS+ for anything online. The price and free games/discounted games are good but I hate having to pay for online. At least its 1x a year but meh...

No other games I care about that aren't also on PC...

Does it at least let you import music yet?

You actually use(d) your PS3 for music? But anywho, looks like you can play music from a usb device. Importing though? As far as I've been able to find, nope.

PS+ is just to play online. You don't need it for netflix, amazon instant video, etc.

edit: Also, Batman AK works on pc now, I got it and it works fine but it is fucking HUNGRY for VRAM. I cannot play on high settings unless I upgrade my gpu

No. I have games that use my music library to generate levels (Space Invaders and Ultra Beat Hazard).

I suppose the playstation neo is still technically rumored, but not really. it will be happening before oct of this year.

there are a ton of great JRPGs coming to the ps4 this year but if I was you I wouldn't get one. a lot of them are rumored to be coming to PC as well.

and I mean even if you can't play the superior versions of games like

you could still get the ps3 version (though the ps3 version of persona 5 is rumored to be dead, the same rumor has a PC version included in it though)

you would miss out on

but the spike games have been making their way onto PC.

now if you are looking for a system with a bunch of jrpgs (and a lot of them being ecchi) I could direct you to something called a Vita Razz

I don't blame you for the batman fear. For reference, my gpu is an AMD Radeon HD7950 w/3gb vram with an overclock and I have an intel i7 3770k cpu @ 4.2ghz and 16gb ram. It does work for me on kind of a mix of high/med/low, stuff like textures and shadows I cannot push past normal because it requires more vram than my gpu has but I have detail on high. I get about 40-80 fps but there's quirks. Overall, it's kinda like Arkham City which, even now, while fine, is still finicky on pc.

Also, I have the game + season pass and it only cost me roughly $22.60 from Bundle Stars

Hm...the vita does have some great jrpgs that is true....how much is that little failure these days?

though tbh...I really don't have the time to indulge the 50+ hours of a JRPG....at least not really...

Hell took me a very long time for Mad Max and that was just under 55 hrs....

hmmm....

Not to mention I still have so many games to beat.

to be fair the vita is still successful in japan, just didn't do well elsewhere. thus why it is still getting a huge library of games. plus it's a portable so you might be able to find some extra time with it.

The playstation TV which can play a lot of the games goes on sale for $50 or less often (though it only comes with a 4gb card if you get the TV pack other wise it only has 1gb on board I think which would keep you from a lot of stuff) I often see bundles with memory cards pop up for 125-150 for the base vita though so if you search around a bit you could likely find one for around that price.

a number of the games on the vita are getting PC releases anymore but still a ton of others are remaining exclusive to it. Neptunia and Atelier are big series where the best versions of the games tend to be on the vita (or pc after the fact for neptunia)

Nioh is hard af, when you die you go back to the start, lose all unused EXP (you use the EXP at the shrine at the beginning to level up) and all enemies are back, worse, just using the shrine without dying also brings all enemies back.
You get 1 chance to pick up the EXP at the place you died but if you die again it's gone, plus the EXP you collected on the way there is also gone.
At least you keep all physical items and the memories you collect from dead bodies, but all weapons and armor will break eventually.

I read people saying it's harder than Dark Souls.
