Started reading that H.P. Lovecraft book a while back... The Call of Cthulu is so god damned dry @_@

Yeah, I've heard that about his work. A lot of the word choices and language in general is very... odd I guess. I'm not sure if it was just because of the time when it was written or if it's just the style.
