GT is now officially dead. With no Geoff Keighley anymore, they're worthless now.

GT is still there... it's just that the lights are on, but nobody is home.

They fired all their good staff except for a few guys like Bosman. Defty Media bought them and they got even worse, they're so gimped now. Jeez, back in 2013 and even early 2014 they were juggernauts in terms of all the content and connections they had. All the E3 stuff on Spike was all them, but now they lost everything. I wonder why Viacom sold them? Horrible decision.

Pachter, Beer, Keighly, Amanda MacKay, Daniel Kaiser, all got let go. That was a 5-star team right there, jeez...

I wasn't shut down, but there were massive layoffs when Defy bought them from Spike/Viacom.

Defy owns the escapist, gamefront, and smosh in addition to GT

The remaining staff at GT are still cool folks, but the tone has definitely had a complete shift from "the professional productions place to be at E3" to a much comfier friendlier cast of people similar to screwattack
