Gen Chat 14: Luna's birthday cheesecake

I don't have a tv (in my room), but I want to buy one (to watch sports stuff), and am considering getting a tv that's from 24-28 inches and I'd be okay with 720p. So yeah, all this 4k stuff doesn't really entice me. We have no plans on buying a 4k tv for the living room either.
Also, is 3d still a thing?

can you fit a 32-37? just asking because I often see those drop cheaper than the 24-28 inch tvs on slickdeals.net lol.

as for 3d some people still use it, but it's mostly dead at this point.

Not too long ago, I had a 32 inch in here and it was way too big. If I wall mount it, it'll be fine, though, but I'd have to change the arrangement of my room, which I don't actually mind. Also, them deals are intriguing.

Some things in the bundle are, but most (like the Game Maker Studio) aren't..

actually the game maker bundle is fully for steam.

as long as you jump through a few hoops.

register the game maker stuff to the game maker sight... and then after 14 days you can request steam keys... the process is described somewhere.

Does anyone know any youtube channels that are particularly good for learning how to work with Game Maker? If I actually scrounge out some spare time this week I want to dive into it while it is hot on my hard drive.

losing a job sucks, but given the best way to get pay increases is in general to get a new job every 1.5 years or so, it might in the long run be better for you.

it's the sad state of the Us economy. instead of a company having any sort of loyalty and rewarding you for being there a long time, 99% of them instead take advantage of the fact that most people hate change, and thus give raises at a lower rate than they are worth.

in order to get the most of what you are worth typically you need to move on to another company that is willing to pay you what you are worth. Granted this requires you to change jobs and adjust repeatedly, but you can often get a lot more money by doing so.

in other thoughts humblebundle has Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1-3 Collection on sale for $24. not a bad price for the games, especially since I get 10% off thanks to being a humble monthly (and can get 5% back, so it would be $22.40 and get $1.12 back in credit)
