@ Nate

Yup. We've been working on the game for a good year though these last 5 months is where most of the progress has exploded. Sadly, I am not 100% sure I'll be staying with these guys because they are really pissing me off now.

So I've decided that I'm going buying my Capture Device at the beginning of July so I can start doing some PS3 live streams and videos. I for sure wanna do a gameplay series for Mass Effect along with me explaining the choices I pick and Why i picked them along with Reasons as to why I rather enjoy the ending without the Theory in place.

Really? Damn, that sucks....

Have you looked into joining another indie studio or maybe even starting your own?

I don't have modeling, programming, or unity experience to start my own. If it falls through, I may steal my friends from this studio :3 all three of us are angry with how everything is going. Basically 2 members are furious with us for posting the trailer because they don't think its ready. Well, too damn bad because it's been a year and we are 80% done with the game and have shown NOTHING but screenshots which mean dick. We needed to show gameplay footage.

You don't need a bank account. If you have a credit card, that can work as well. I have Auto renew disabled

Hey Ochi, need some advice. Ever heard of a search engine called maxwebsearch?

For one one reason or another it is set as my default home and search engine. I keep on trying to change the settings but every time I do that, it just closes the browser and resets the settings. (I believe that fake skype download incident may have something to do with it)

Hmm, sounds to me like it was installed by a program. I assume you have windows, so go to control panel, programs and check if it's listed there as an installed program. Just uninstall, if it is. That should get rid of it.

Ok I narrowed it down to these possible culprits. These programs were 'installed' on the same date as the incident took place.

  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2010

  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools For Office Runtime

  • SkypeTalking 0.9.6 (<-This I cannot uninstalled But it is actually from skype)

  • Windows Essentials Media Codec Pack 4.7

So do you think it might be one of the microsoft downloads? Is it safe to uninstall all of them? or is it just the Media Codec that's the culprit?

Found this with a google search, has a lot of crap. Also, try running anti-virus.

Ok so here is what happened. I did all of the steps. I downloaded that cleanup thing. It removed the maxwebsearch stuff. And now I can't acces my browser due to a proxy error.

Does it take awhile to kick in?

None. It says something about not being able to connect to the proxy server.
