Throwing in my two cents about CoD: I honestly don't think any of the recent CoD games have had a good single player with the lone exception of CoD4, and even that was only slightly above average. I think it is safe to say that the reason most people play CoD games and why it is so successful is because of its multiplayer components.

At least speaking from my own experience, the singleplayer in any CoD game gets far less attention than its multiplayer counterpart. I simply get much more for my money out of the online/split screen portions of the game than I ever have from the singleplayer.

Lol, that's pretty much common knowledge. Though I definitely agree on the CoD4 campaign.

If it is common knowledge, why do people keep expecting more out of the singleplayer in these games? I am all for great singleplayer campaigns, but CoD has never been particularly good in the regard.

Hmm....I dunno if anyone expects anything from them anymore. Only reason I asked is because I've been hearing such a fuss over it.

CoD4's campaign was amazing, imo

Only two or three missions left an impression on me; The tutorial/first level, the nuke, the sniper level. All the others felt dull.

the only new cod I will say I like for campaigns was cod4 modern warfare, I only like black ops for zombies and multiplayer otherwise cod SUCKS!
