Seriously. Spidey hasn't been in a good movie ever, and that needs to change.

That said, I want to know who at marvel thought giving Sony such a hold on spiderman to begin with was a good idea.

That was in the 90s, when Marvel had much shittier management and was leaking money so badly they nearly had to declare bankruptcy. That's when they started selling the movie rights to characters to anyone and everyone.

Why couldn't they have sold a limited license for Spiderman rather than one that could be so easily exploited? Shitty management indeed. One thing I allways loved about spiderman was the fact is was a major part of the marvel universe and by extent its many other characters; holding him ransom does absolutely no one any good.
