Well either or eyes or tv is shit. There definitely is a noticeable difference between 720p and 1080p.zulux21 wrote:Koenig wrote:It is sad because its true for many people. I do not see the obsession with HD graphics. SD to HD was noticeable, 720 to 1080 is not; not to mention their is some retarded push for 4k now as well.
Eventually that might be a valid move, but right now it just makes no sense.
PS: @ Mazer: I sent you a gift in London. if you accept it you should be able to find the "mystery box" in your inventory under the "myself" tab. You would not believe how long it took me to figure that out for myself...
i'm totally with you, legend suffers from a placebo effect.
he believes there is a real difference and wants to believe in it so he sees it

I 'm not a graphics whore or anything, but I can definitely see a difference in 720p and 1080p.

Re: Gen Chat 8: Squishy Squishy
so the new episode of steven universe is so good
also, I know there is a difference between 720/1080 it's just not enough for me to personally care, my statement was more of an ongoing jab I have on legend about how if he wasn't so stuck up about things like pixels he could save a lot of money

There shouldn't be any debate. Regardless of what you think there is a difference between 720p and 1080p.

well of course there is a difference, one requires quite a bit more data to put out a decent looking video even though there isn't actually much meaningful difference
720 for life
*posted from a 1080p tv where the difference for what resolution you can set your computer at is quite a bit better than on a 720 *

Well to put it bluntly, SteveRayBro uses it, Jaltoid uses it, and a whole lot of Speed drawers on youtube use it. I've been wondering if I really need it, or if I'm good with Photoshop Elements.-Mazer wrote:smirkytrick wrote:Just to let you guys know, Clip Studio Paint is like $15 right now. I need a legit paint program...even if I rarely use it. Paint.net is decent and Pixlr.com is alright but sometimes it doesn't load.
SMIRKY! Are you helping me with my Horror Zelda game?
Re: Gen Chat 8: Squishy Squishy
Depends on what you mean by meaningful difference. On a decently large screen you'd notice a difference, that to me is meaningful.zulux21 wrote:though there isn't actually much meaningful difference

In that case Clip Studio might work for you.-Mazer wrote:smirkytrick wrote:Well to put it bluntly, SteveRayBro uses it, Jaltoid uses it, and a whole lot of Speed drawers on youtube use it. my 1080p files regularly look better on my 720p screen in the bedroom than the do on my 1080p in the living room
bedroom is 32 inch living room is 37 inch.
I am going to go with the difference is I prefer the look of plasma over LCD but still unless I have a 1080p file and a 720p file playing side by side I rarely can tell there is a difference.
I also run upscalers for video playback for most things though. and even though I can see a difference between oh say witcher on ultra vs witcher on medium, once I start playing they basically look the same to me so it doesn't matter.
it's so much cheaper being a pc gamer when you don't have to worry about maxing out every game. I can just buy a $100 video card every 5 years or so and be set.
a zelda horror game eh?smirkytrick wrote:In that case Clip Studio might work for you.-Mazer wrote:smirkytrick wrote:Well to put it bluntly, SteveRayBro uses it, Jaltoid uses it, and a whole lot of Speed drawers on youtube use it. what engine are you going to use, I very well might have it as I keep buying up video game engines (I think I am up to 5 paid engines now lol)
also I didn't realize a decent looking bomberman clonewas on steam. I'll have to give it a try once the groupees bundle I will get it in releases.

It's a top-down 8-bit-esque Zelda clone. Basically you are a kid who needs to survive 8 dungeons ("Haunted houses") to collect the 8 pages of the Necronomican.
I'm using click-team. I have a very good idea how the game will program but I need artists...badly. Like seriously hardcore badly.

No, though I have heard good things about it.
@Mazer: I hope i can help you out with the Zelda game once things cool down on my end. I am still trying to learn unity and get some guidance about other development software.

It's a series where the first 10-15 eps are mostly goofing around defining stuff and then it starts getting into the story and continues to build on the story and build up to a great season 1 finish and continue being awesome in season 2.Koenig wrote:No, though I have heard good things about it.
