Why do so many americans think that health care is free in europe? That is just false, cheaper sure, but definitely not free. Don't come here and expect free shit like Michael Moore.

All I ever see on my meme sites are people ragging on the US for not having free healthcare, bragging about their free healthcare etc. However if you read the comments, most people answering who are US citizens are saying IT'S NOT FREE YOU ASSHATS but then the others just ignore the comments

Feig he respects and loves the IP, I think he could make at least a decent movie that feels like a movie and not like Bridesmaids: Ghostbusters.

No we don't. I always see Euros calling it that. At least on forums and joke sites. I've never heard anyone outside of some TV show actually call it free in person...

I wouldn't even call it universal healthcare, more like basic healthcare, for your basic needs. At least if you're on welfare the state pays for it, because technically it's every citizen's duty to have an health insurance in my country, it's not illegal to have none but it can become very expensive if something happens and you aren't insured. You pretty much will not get a job without it since the insurance company of your choice gets payed directly from your employer, part on his behalf part from your income.
On the other hand, unlike other types of insurances, health insurance can not deny membership as long you have a job, are on welfare or retired, no matter how sick you are.

We may not have "universal" but practically everyone can get treatment...even if they cannot afford it - it is illegal to turn people away. It's one of the reasons California is in such a bad state because if people go to the ER and get treated, and they cannot afford it, the bill gets sent to the Tax payers to get paid off.

We DO offer basic medical to EVERYONE. People just tend to ignore that.

It's why illegals use the ER so much for every little thing (truth) without worrying about paying. The bills just ends up going to the tax payers - but this is the kind of thing most foreigners don't know because they just look at the surface.

I know all of this from personal experience thanks to the Ex-Wife's medical bills. B****

On a different note...

I really HATE Garfield now...the original comics were so awesome - he used to go on adventures with Nermal and Odie; he used to visit his mom (they had some really heart breaking moments), he used to go to the farm and was actually very funny...

But now Jon is Dumber than Homer and Peter GRiffen combined, Garfield lost all personality, and 99% of the side characters no longer exist.
