I like Color so far. Did you change the fight controls to do things with one motion instead of 3?

HUZZAH!!!!! How much better. Can you run games???
Re: Gen Chat XV: A Whole New Chat
Hell Yeah, I tested it with Poker Night 2. It ran really smoothly, and holy shit this new laptop is fast. Gonna install some other games onto it and stuff to test them out. Also, I'm going to move all my Clickteam stuff onto the new Laptop if everything goes smoothly.-Mazer wrote:smirkytrick wrote:GUYS!!! IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!!! I don't see why not? It's a laptop that was specifically designed for gaming.-Mazer wrote:Can you play minecraft? Or Depth? Or Orion?

Spent half a day and several hours today working on this pic I had to do for homework and I just now noticed that I probably did the background completely wrong. I did one point perspective and I think my teacher wanted two point perspective o___o

I changed them to the button option. (Option 2) I much prefer using buttons instead of the touch screen, unfortunately there is not an option to apply button/joystick controls to the menu and cutout sections of the game; which is odd considering it is entirely possible (and more efficient) to just use the analog stick and buttons.
My main gripe with the card system is not its controls however (Though that is a complaint), but how everything is disposable. I have had to trek back through far to many levels to grab the cards I need to complete the level/beat the boss, as well as waste ones I thought would work on arbitrary puzzles. It is adventure game logic at its worst. I like the idea of "thing" cards, but there really was no good reason to make them and combat cards all disposable .
In the first two games attacks were split into 3-4 groups; Jump, Hammer, Items, Special. The basic Jump and Hammer attacks were always available, with more powerful moves requiring the games magic points. Items worked the same way as the cards, while special attacks were like "thing" cards, but never broke when you used them, but did require that you build up a meter before they could be activated. The older games also had perks (Badges) that you could use to augment your abilities. Finally they also had partners that joined Mario throughout the game, each with their own unique abilities and stories that opened up the world organically. Color Splash (Or rather Sticker Star) traded ALL of this for a glorified Item system. It just could have and has been done better, and I don't understand why they designed it this way.
I also have small gripes with the main story, but I absolutely love the mini levels and their stories.
Yeah, those are my main gripes. I am enjoying the game, It just could have been so much better had only they stopped treating RPG mechanics of the first two games like a leper.
