Isn't that kind of security risk the kind of things companies get sued for? Capcom had best undue to that portion of the update immediately.

they came out with a rollback patch that does not uninstall the file. I think I'm in the clear cause my PC was off and didn't get the Thursday update that installed the rootkit but I did get the rollback patch yesterday.

Pre-ordered Pokemon Sun and now I feel like buying Pokemon Blue Version for old times sake... I don't even know why I'm so obsessed with Pokemon all of a sudden >.>

What do I tell you guys....Capcom really is a horrible company now. They really aren't worth supporting like they used to be.

On a different note - I attempted to record gameplay footage of Evil Dead; Fistful of Boomstick - what I remembered being my favorite one of the franchise only to see how !@#!@##!@ frusterating the game is now because of the lack of autosave or maps. I kept running in circles for a literal hour because I forgot there was a tiny gap where this police barricade was and another hour because i couldn't remember a specific street...

Silent Hill 2 mastered that crap...why couldn't ED FoB do it...

Not to mention when i finally was getting ahead, I lose my escort which ends the mission and resets me an hour and a half in the past because there is no autosave...

I really wish a non shit gaming company would just buyout Capcom, Konami, and Sega, and put them out of their misery; either completely gutting the upper management or shutting them down outright. The only thing worth saving form these companies is their IP and some of their development teams.

Granted, a third party company would be better all things consider

With that said, I don't understand why Nintendo does not jump at the chance to assimilate IP and studio's like these; they have let opportunities like this slip through their fingers before. Why Nintendo stood idly by while studios like Argonaught and Factor 5 closed down, and publishers like THQ had all their IP sold off. I guess they are just to internally focused to really care in most situations.

I dunno. We don't really know the situation behind the scenes for deals like that. I do think that if Mega Man was sold off, Nintendo would be quick on that one considering their history with the franchise.

Capcom is like, one of the only good 3rd party companies around though :\

on the other hand, if a good company were to buy them out so that they could continue on with their IPs like Dragon's Dogma and whatnot... I wouldn't be opposed.

Also, Sonic doesn't need to be handed over to another company, Sonic needs to be laid to rest cause he was never good.
