yep, I'm convinced that this entire game is just Mikami making his own version of Silent Hill. The moment before this has an event that is straight up Silent Hill's other world invading your world.
edit: then again, the entire core game has moments like it... heh
do you think they will make a goty edition with the dlcs included? I was expecting it to be more like RE lol
the game didn't seem to do well commercially or with the gaming community to really "earn it." Although, by the time all the dlc is out you'll probably be able to get the core game + Season Pass for either $60 or less
edit: the core game is already $30 actually (dunno if this is temporary or permanent though), so less than $60 lol
really it's $30 now, damn target still had it as $60 last time I was there

Amazon still has it for $30 but it went back up most places. It is a good game, a lot of Mikami trappings lie within (insta-deaths and one hit kills galore! oh, and no invincibility frames for your character, ever. If you get knocked down you can still get completely destroyed by nearby enemies while on the ground, while falling and while trying to stand back up). There's only one problem though, seriously research the version you get cause the game is a technical mess on all platforms. iirc, the current gen versions are decent (frame rate is more consistent but still drops) but I have no idea about the last gen versions. The PC version, if your pc is good enough, is the most stable one. It's also the only version where you can turn the black bars off.Squirrel500 wrote:

Okay so basically the storyline follows 2 major paths. The first being Meleena trying to take over Outworld from Kotal Khan, the 2nd being quan chi and his minions trying to resurrect Shinnok.
Cassie Cage and her Crew are sent to Outworld to try to gain alliegence of Kotal Khan. It turns out that Meleena has shinnok's amulet and is using it to win her war. While there, they assist him in stopping Meleena's attacks by ambushing her when she is weak - the amulet draining Meleena's life energy.
They take her back to Kotal Khan who orders Devorah to kill Meleena. Meleena has her face and brains eaten out - killed.
Devorah betrays Kotal, steals the amulet, and is on the way to give it to Quan Chi
Cage, Sonya, and Jax ambush Quan Chi, beat him, and take him into custody. Scorpio (now human) infiltrates the bsae, kills Quan Chi but not before Devorah gives him the amulet.
Shinnok is ressurected. He kidnaps Johnny and retreats.
Raiden is forced to beat Possessed Liu kang, Sindel, Kitana, and Kung Lao in order to get to shinnok but by the time he gets there, he is took weak and Shinnok starts his conquer of Earth Realm
Cassie shows up and is able to defeat Shinnok by tapping into the natural strengths of her father and mother...
*TWISTS!!!!!!!!!*
With quan chi dead, no one is able to ressurect Liu, Kitana, and Kung Lao - they remain possessed and evil.
Raiden arrives in NetherRealm and basically tells someone off camera that he is sick and tired of Earth Realm being a target and declares that if ANYONE even ATTEMPTS to give Earth Realm shyt, he will personally declare war on their entire realm and destroy them. (He is also dressed in dark red clothes and he has Shinnok's amulet - he is still a good guy but he is PISSSSSSSSED)
Camera rotates showing the new Rulers of the NetherRealm to whom Raiden was speaking...
They are Liu Kang and Kitana...who refuse to return to the side of good as they despise Raiden and the others for letting them die in MK9...
