Yeah, I've seen a couple of people say it. Also having male characters dress as stupidly as female characters do, but in a way that emphasizes the male physical attributes that are attractive.smirkytrick wrote:really?

Women like them cool guys who almost look feminine.smirkytrick wrote:Just had a really stupid thought. you know how in anime there are girls with big bouncing tits, and alot of the viewers tend to male? What if they made guys with big bouncing bulges/testes? Would that increase female viewership?
Oh no wait, that's still the male fan base.

You talking about Bishounen? If so, that's totally aimed at girls.

Anywho, Age of Ultron is better than the first Avengers but, if you know at least some of the base things about the stories/characters OR have watched Earth's Mightiest Heroes, there will be plenty of little things that will bug you. They bugged me.
- Spoiler:
- My main problem with the movie was that there were no consequences, apart from a character we barely knew dying. Having the rock fall and kill a billion people would have been the perfect way to set up Civil War and Cap and Iron Man's feud. Instead we got another generic happy ending and Cap and Iron Man were completely friendly towards each other. This movie should have been a game changer with massive consequences, instead it's just another bridge towards the next movie. Ultron felt woefully under utilised because of this, and he was way too snarky and not at all scary.

I haven't seen a male fanbase as dedicated and outspoken about bishounen as for MLP. Did I miss something? When was that a thing?xXJus10Xx wrote:So is My Little Pony.Luna wrote:You talking about Bishounen? If so, that's totally aimed at girls.

Re: Gen Chat 03: The Laughing man
definitely. The entire movie should have been bleak as all hell instead of what we got.TensePsychopath wrote:LegendX48 wrote:Damn, that sounds pretty terrible with all those leaving for vacation/quitting ._.

- And yeah, Ultron's characterization was kind of terrible. They turned him into a fucking comic relief character. He should not have been funny or snarky, at all. He's supposed to be excruciatingly cold, calculated and operate on pure logic. I'm starting to feel like all of the problems this movie had are all entirely the fault of Joss Whedon just being Joss Whedon. He took what should (could?) have been the darkest and bleakest super hero movie ever made and turned it into a family romp for children. That and having the Avengers constantly split up at the end of each movie is bothering me. Hulk's departure also made me kinda sad lol but at the same time that moment was good. That and Hulk needs to start fucking talking, enough with the constant roaring, the fucker can talk god damn it!
Quicksilver being killed off was a total waste of his character as well. You don't introduce and kill off someone in the same film like this, it's a complete waste of a character who never had a chance to shine.
That's all that's on my mind at the moment. I still feel it's more enjoyable than the first (first one has a boring as shit first half) but because of who was used/introduced, and how poorly they were done, there's a billion more issues with it.

Not everyone wants a "Scary" movie from their Super hero's. I for one am actually quite sick and tired of any superhero film that does so.TensePsychopath wrote:LegendX48 wrote:Damn, that sounds pretty terrible with all those leaving for vacation/quitting ._.

Except now we have that same exact problem but on the opposite end of that spectrum.Koenig wrote:

Yep. There needs to be some actual tension if I'm gonna stay interested in the MCU. You can only make basically the same movie so many times before it gets dull. And I'm not even saying they need to be "scary", you can still have humorous moments while being darker. I just want a villain that's actually worth fearing.

Fair enough. I just know for a fact that I have become disinterested in the DC universe for the "opposite" reason. You can have tension without having to show millions of civilians getting murdered, something Marvel seems to have learned IMO.
