omg that last DBZA episode was fantastic ^_^

I was very excited and even tempted to offer funds to kickstart BloodStained until I read this:

WHAT ABOUT NINTENDO?

Our budget left us with two options: Build the biggest, most beautiful game we can, or make sure it runs everywhere from the start. As things stand today, we can't afford to create the two separate versions of this game that would be necessary to make it run on every console. That said, we've heard legends about a remarkable treasure hidden in the castle basement...

so let me understand this utter bullshyt.

It's a 2.5 game. It is NOT something that needs massive super mega power to build. It is not something that needs 2 versions of. WTF kind of BULLshyt excuse is this not to have the game on the WiiU?  - Ignoring the huge fact that the last castlevania games have all been exclusive to the Nintendo handhelds and have sold fantastically.

Ignoring further that the Gamepad's second screen being used as the map screen/inventory for a huge castle-vania style game ONLY MAKES THE MOST LOGICAL SENSE IN THE WORLD...

and How in the HELL cannot they afford it? They got over a million dollars in funder when their original goal was 500k.

There’s something that feels weird about calling any game coming exclusively to Nintendo’s Wii U gaming console exciting. The Wii U has tons of great games, but they never seem to excite. They usually don’t feed the needs of online shooter lovers.

Splatoon is a game that only Nintendo could have thought of. It’s an arena shooter, but it’s much more kid-friendly and happy than what we’re used to on other consoles. You’re a squid with the ability to transformer and quickly move around the game world. You’re spraying anything and everything around you with the colored ink for your team. The more ink on the level, the closer your team comes to dominate. That ink also acts as a quick method of movement, allowing you to duck in and out of tight situations.

Splatoon launches on May 29th and it appears as if it will be one of the last major releases before Nintendo starts discussing its next major console in 2016.

@Mazer  I suspect that means that bloodstained will be using the Unreal Engine 4 which is not compatibly with the Wii U without being scaled back heavily.  I understand the logic behind it, but it is still quite stupid to wright of the Nintendo system considering the number of players who would have otherwise been interested. (Myself included)  They could have gone with the UE3, but that would likely require a larger cost due to licensing and custom components they would likely need at this point.

In the mean time I guess we should be happy for yooka-laylee.

it is using Unreal 4 which is why portable versions won't be happening any time soon. Also, keep in mind that Bloodstained is not an indie title, they have a publisher (who it is I don't know though) who may be pushing an anti-Nintendo agenda upon them.

If thats the case then just say it. Dont give us the runaround bs.

And I am not a huge fan of bosses being locked out to those who dont donate a huge amount

The only way to accomplish making the game the most beautiful is to be PC exclusive.
It's not PC exclusive, now is it?

the publisher can only fund 75% of it iirc.

The fact remains that it is ultimately a pretty dumb decision to withhold a game like this from a Nintendo system.  I would wager that despite the larger market share that the Xbox one has, there are still more interested players on the wii U.  PS4 however seems like a good fit, so no complaints there.

Odd they are not there now, but half of the time I use the site any posts I make have key words infected with links. For example I said something about the new Avengers movie and the "Avengers" would get a link to the wikipedia page. I suspect it is some kind of marketing software lingering around, but I only encounter this problem on these forums and nowhere else.

That's very unusual. I've never seen that happen - no matter which web browser I'm using or pc...

do a virus scan?

I have done many, nothing found. I thought it might be some in my browser plugins but I have no found anything in that either.

If you're using google chrome, it's an ad plugin.
I can't remember what it was called, though...

I have had adblock block installed since I started using chrome. Works like a charm, except in this lone case.
