My friends are saying the Splatoon demo was fun...I hope I can catch the last window to play it tomorrow.

Just got back from GameStop with a bunch of figures and just now realized I didn't get the Captain Marvel & Ultimate Falcon power disc pack. They didn't mention it either.

GUYS, WHY YOU NO PLAY?!?!

I was playing! It is fun so far, I just wish there was a way to choose your team-mates/have friends on your time. The game really does require a lot of team work (Unless the other team is just dense.)

I do have some complaints I want to through out right now; just assume everything else was good/great.

Camera Controls with the Gyroscope could be a bit spotty at times. I would try to preposition the camera quickly with the right stick, but it was never fast enough for my liking and often fought against me.

Being locked into one weapon type for the entire match was annoying, but being locked into one weapon type for an entire lobby is flat out retarded.

The inability to play specifically with friends is disappointing, especially considering how much teamwork is required.

PS: Not a complaint, but I loved the little mini-game you could play between rounds.

The worst part is, the only way to play specifically with friends will be coming in a later update.
Currently playing with friends will still randomize teams, causing you to face your friends occasionally.

My friends shall learn to fear me!


In all seriousness though, I am going to wait for a little bit more information in regards to the single player before I decide to pick up the game or not.

I turned off motion controls and went with a higher sensitivity for normal controls.

The 1 weapon for entire match was a bit annoying and lobby as well. I think it would be fixed later on. Remember this is the bare-bones demo mode. Friend playing will be easier to do with the week 1 update and when the overworld is introduced.

I played the full hour and had a blast! I was able to see my team start forming together properly about 20 minutes in. I would usually target someone who was off alone and we'd team up to paint areas the enemy wasn't focusing on. When we went for kills tho, I teamed up with paint brushers or machine gunners so I could use my shield to block enemy attacks as they painted.

My highest kill count was 9 kills, 0 deaths

Nice. Teamwork is a must in this game, I really hope they prioritize allowing friends to stay on the same team so we don't get stuck with random players.

I wouldn't worry about the one weapon for a lobby, that was more than likely set up this way strictly for the global testfire.
