@Mazer:

I would argue that at the very least, the extra buttons and slide-pad should have been included from the beginning. There are now a small handful of games for the "new" 3DS that the regular 3DS can not play, all of which are built around using those buttons and pad. (Granted they are likely using the extra processing power, but if your going to argue in favor of that, then the 3D should have never been a priority over the system specs on the original version)

Im not particularly worried about the 3DS library. We are still only halfway through its lifespan if we are comparing to the DS, though it does have less momentum than the DS did.
