Re: Gen Chat VI: R.I.P. Satoru Iwata
It was only a single act. It's essentially if the Evil Dead characters were in charge of a play rendition of A Christmas Carol (Ash is the sound guy, Scott is the lighting guy, Cheryl is the stage manager and Linda or Shelly is someone backstage). They enter the theatre and find the Necronomicon and they peruse it. Needless to say shit starts to go down. Ash instantly loses his right hand, complete with squirting blood. The pompous, arrogant actor is the first to go, becoming a Deadite almost instantly. He then slowly transforms the other characters into Deadites.
It was really funny, I had a pretty good time watching it. The guy playing Ash was really good, he had the goofiness and the silly faces down. Best part of it was that I was front row centre so I got to see all the blood squirts in all it's glory.

^^ That sounds utterly amazing. I love the fact they made their own twist to the story

I met one of the actors after the show, she said that she'd want them to be able to a rendition of Evil Dead the Musical.

I wish them the best of luck! What was their version called :3
Re: Gen Chat VI: R.I.P. Satoru Iwata
I think it was called A Long From Broadway. They apparently do a different theme every show (or something like that), tonight's was Evil Dead.

Re: Gen Chat VI: R.I.P. Satoru Iwata
Just finished this book. It's like The Purge for teenagers - during the 3 full moons a month, teenagers from 13-18 go through "The Breach" where they are allowed to run wild in the streets. They don't ever actually murder people - it's more of a pack mentality so basically it's sex and fights but never murder...
The main character is the "Pure goody goody" who doesn't feel the Breach until about 17 and then she just does this 180 personality where she goes from the purist of pure to this angsty teenager who, despite never doing anything seriously hardcore (except - I guess - begging a guy to rape her because she wants the badness raped out of her?) she somehow grows up to be this cynical and slightly psychopathic surberian mother...
The first half seemed very much a good read but after breaching, it was rather Meh...mostly just her going off on her own, hiding, making maps, and watching others have sex a lot...
eh
