Re: Gen Chat 8: Squishy Squishy
That sounds amazing
However, the set up reminds me of X-files which had its fair share of pretty graphic moments also.

Give it a try, it seems like something you would enjoy.

I wouldn't mind it at all :3
Today started the "60 days of Halloween" where my lady and I look up and try to watch at least 1 horror movie a day until Halloween. Today we watched Are You Afraid of the Dark, and Halloween Resurrection :#

That said, if this is your kind of thing, you might just love Fringe. Did I mention the episode where peoples brains were liquified and drained out of their nose/ears/mouth?

Playing with capture mode a bit:
Just like the Order 1886, you can set the photomode filters and then play with those settings. I haven't tried that yet as I've been messing with other settings though. This game is simply dumb fun. Dem explosions are nice, as is making a car explode when you ram it and driving through it.
edit: Also, aside from being well optimized, it has native dualshock 4 support which is fantastic!

Re: Gen Chat 8: Squishy Squishy
yeah. The only issue I've run into is the game automatically changing some of the resolution/hz settings in-game (I'll set it to 60hz but then it'll automatically change to 50hz which alters the framerate) but I think I know why. I ran it with the AMD VSR tech. Gonna play without it and report back. Beyond that, been playing with nearly everything on high and everything's been good.-Mazer wrote:So the PC version is pretty good so far?

God, Stallone is so terrible.
Karl Urban is best Judge Dredd.

I love Stallon's Dredd. It was pure 90s cheese. I <3 it. So over the top.
Re: Gen Chat 8: Squishy Squishy
Rob Schneider completely ruins it though.
But Mean Machine. <3

Hmm, so the 50hz default thing is known for the Mad Max game but a non issue, was just running it on settings higher than my gpu is capable of. Made a few changes and it's locked 60fps now.

Lol you didn't like the comedy aspect?
Re: Gen Chat 8: Squishy Squishy
Listen guys. I am seriously wanting to move forward with this idea and I would like as many of the WSS crew to join me on this project.
Using clickteam, I want to make a TLOZ (8-bit) clone but horror themed. Where the overworld leads the character to 8 horror-themed dungeons based around classic mythos (Haunted mansion, cabin in the woods, catacombs, demented circus, summer camp).
Ala TLOZ, it will be down down with the Zelda style fight style. Players start with a baseball bat, then level up to a Machete, finally to the Chainsaw. Weapons will include modern versions of the Zelda style weapons (shotgun replaces bow&Arrow, molotov replaces bombs, etc).
Like TLOZ, dungeons will have basic enemies but also dungeon specific enemies (catacombs will include skeletons and zombies, circus will have clowns).
The final level will be the Cabin in the Woods where you need to use the 7 pages of the Book of the Dead to get to the final boss. When you defeat it, you get the final page that dispels the evil.
I think I can get a good start on the game itself using placeholders from RPJmaker but I would really like some of your guys to be involved with the Sprite making.
Most the sprites will have 0-3 frames of animation (like TLOZ, most enemies only moved their legs) but anyone who is seriously willing to help with the assets would be not only appreciated but hopefully paid once the game gets released...

Lol at the comic strip.
I would definitely love to help, I have no idea how though. Shoot me a PM and Ill see what I can do. I am actually joining a my colleges Game Developer Club this semester, so we will see how that pans out. (Though it should be noted they have never actually shipped a game before...)
