Well, I need static images of a specific size and enemies and then effects...and very clean looking.

enemies and main character will be a bit rough since they need keyframes...

I am tempted to make the game using RPG maker assets then swap things out as needed...

I swear I want to smack my mananger when get talks games. To him, a lot of his arguements against my thoughts are "Well you grew up on Nintendo so it don't count" or "If Nintendo made it you would buy it in a heartbeat".

He was talking sports with one of our girls and they brought up sports movies. Asked if I have seen it, and I said no. I hate sport films.

"Oh, but bet you loved that Nintendo trash p.o.s. mario movie right?"

Wtf - has nothing relevant to the conversation!

He also considers Demon Souls/Dark Souls to be the GREATEST JRPG of all time - yes he is including all other JRPGs like the Final Fantasies, Chrono games, Personas - and when I told him that Dark Souls is nothing like traditional JRPGs he basically said "It japanese, its an rpg, it's a jrpg and it is the best of all time"

The worst thing of all is he throws words around like "AAA Gaming" and he practically ignores "lower class" games. Only AAA titles and studios for this guy!

I've read copywrite laws. Nintendo does not own the rights to overhead, scrolling map games nor do they own the rights to overworld leading into dungeon games.

The rule for these types of "clones" is to make sure your game is different enough that while it resembles, it is not a full game.

So there will be specific things we will not do. I.E. Have a item bar on the top of the screen showing the 2 equipped weapons. We'll put that somewhere else and design it to look different.

We won't use the cartoon hearts but realistic hearts.

Main weapon doesn't shoot if hearts are filled.

No old men inside of the caves.

Stuff like that.

Remember 3D dot heroes is basically a Zelda clone.

and 2 of them only did it because they had to be up here anyway for someone's show...and 5 others from my old building I worked in came for a concert but never decided to visit me as planned...

Okay, gotcha. I think we are allowed to use cartoon hearts though. Or at least cartoon hearts with veins.

Naw, I already have a good idea of the levels. I just wanna use the oldschool zelda's overworld/dungeon/fighting design more than anything.

Summer Campsite
Insane Asylum

Fringe is starting to get a lot more interesting now that I have gotten far enough to see some of the plot. Still leaves a bad taste in my mouth at times though. Mazer should watch it with me!
