also the writing is going much better tonight. though I spent the last 24 hours thinking about how to do this last chunk so that was expected.

now I get to move onto chapter 25. which will be fun but will take a bit as it sets up the next major arc as well as gives a huge chunk of info about the history of the world. I haven't decided if I will jump right into that or just watch some tv, sleep and then work on it tomorrow. I am making decent progress during my days off so far.

which is 16924 words (though there is an error of 500 words plus or minus in there as the last few updates where all in the same part meaning that I had to try to remember where I started) a little over 2k words per day on average. which seems like a solid rate to work on a huge ass story.

You are reminding me of Tommy Wassau (in a good way) as his first novel was 500 pages

what can I say, I was inspired by shonen series like naruto and dragon ball when I first started writing this thing. My original draft had serious coping from naruto, which is gone in this draft lol.

even though I started off copying naruto for the combat even to the point where my characters were originally ninjas, I always failed at copying the focus on fighting lol. Instead at this point I have little progress towards the main overarching story and instead have two ideally decent arcs mostly done lol.

I am not one to dream small, I could write a smaller story, but I have been working on Anahara on and off for 13 years now. it's a story I always come back too, and I figure I should tell it. As long as at least one other person enjoys it it will be worth it

Anyways I don't mind being compared to Tommy Wassau , but at the same time I am pretty sure he hasn't done anything like what I am working on lol.

anyways I got up to 4157 words tonight so I should likely head to bed and try to sleep. If I fail I might write some more, but ideally I get to sleep before my wife's alarms go off.

I can't really agree with that, or maybe I can... the thing is Goku never really grew up, so my "Goku will always be Goku" is correct. But at the same time you think Vegeta is awesome, who really is guilty of the same things, constantly leaving his family to keep up with Goku (of course you can say Vegeta will always be Vegeta).
But that's besides my original point anyway, of course characters change over time just like humans do, but what Marvel and DC do goes far beyond that, that is what I meant.

iirc, wasn't your dad essentially like a "messenger" in this entire situation, or at least completely uninvolved in this shit storm? It's like that guy just really, really hates him and could potentially be bribing people to send him to jail.

Pretty much....the thing is this stupid investigation uncovered 1 error in the 30+ years my dad has been working and because that asshat couldn't get him on the original charge, he put everything he could to make that 1 error become bigger than it really is

So... I made a video for my odd peripheral play series, where I played GTA: Vice City ... Got a couple of problems with it.

1) I barely talked in it.

2) due to memory limitations on my phone I have to cut a portion of it in order to upload it.

3) I'm concerned about people with motion sickness, because due the guitar controller, all my character did throughout the video was run in circles.

been thinking I shouldn't bother trying to upload it or maybe I need a different direction with my channel... I could try to do like a satire news channel... What do you guys think?

how about instead of satire news.

You make a show dedicated to actually showing good things that happened in the world.
highlighting things like a stranger running into a burning building to save someone and succeeding.
someone helping rebuild a disaster ruined city
ect

Satire news is covered by things like the daily show, the late show, john oliver ect.

no one seems to talk about the good in the world anymore though :/

So my cousin got an Nvidia GTX 1070 the other day but it had extremely bad coil whine (it's like a high pitched screeching), like abnormal quantities. Getting it replaced but I think the replacement gpu might have another 50/50 shot of having this problem :\
