Re: Gen Chat XXXVII: Samus is Sexist
it sounds way too fucking good and therefore extremely anti contemporary Nintendo HOWEVER the Zelda team is the one and only group there that I'd have faith in to actually make this a reality but, even with their redeemed cred, this seems (again) too fucking good to exist within the holds of Nintendo :\-Insanity- wrote:Not sure if this has been talked about here yet, but... :
Zelda wii u leaked info
The "I don't wanna click the link" version.
- Spoiler:
~Keeping in line with A Link Between Worlds, the new title will take several liberties with what has become the traditional Zelda "format".
~Taking inspiration from the original Legend of Zelda, exploration will become centerpiece with hundreds of secrets -- of all sizes and varieties -- throughout the game.
~Keeping in line with this, the gameplay will be highly variable -- with some main items being found not only in dungeons, but also in shops, the field, and in trade sequences. Some items can also be found in multiple different ways, meaning many players will find themselves with completely different arsenals at different points in the game.
~Every item will have multiple upgrades as well, and these upgrades are also available at many different points and places in the game.
~There will be hundreds of sidequests that will accompany many of these items and item upgrades. They range from the more personal variety and sometimes questline like found in Majora's Mask, to the simpler, minigame esque type found throughout the series.
~The game will make ample use of the Wii U gamepad and, because of this, return to the traditional analog stick control format rather than the Wii Motion Plus.
~The game has been described as a tribute to the entire legacy of the Legend of Zelda series; a tribute that pays homage to every Zelda game before it in its gameplay, characters, and atmosphere, yet one that redefines the series in a way that only a game of this caliber can.
~The art style does not strictly follow the 2011 tech demo, but it is obvious that it was definitely an inspiration. Link is a good bit taller, as well as a little older than he appeared in the demo. Many of the areas of the game will be very dark (yet not as "washed out" as Twilight Princess), but there will also be very vibrant areas that scream Wind Waker and Skyward Sword influence.
~The game will have well over 150 hours of gameplay and much more than anyone needs in replay value with its aforementioned, new gamplay format.
~It will be demoed extensively by Nintendo's Treehouse division during their E3 livestream.
~The game was at one point going to just be titled The Legend of Zelda, but it was out of my source's knowledge whether this name became final.
~Just as A Link Between Worlds was released the Holiday season it was officially unveiled, The Legend of Zelda Wii U will follow suite, releasing Holiday 2014.
This will all be officially announced on June, 10 2014.
In my opinion, I think all of it is absolute bull shit. It seems to much like a fan/maniacfollower's dream zelda game in some areas of the leak.
Perhaps E3 will make me smile, or shut me up XD... (more than I have been for a while)

No dice, I'm currently trying to trade that extra washington to someone who has an extra science(which is the last one I need to complete the badge). As for bioshock infinite, that's gonna be the next one I work on, so again, no dice.-Mazer wrote:Darth Luna wrote:Uhh, look at my inventory, I don't know if I have anything to offer you.
Hm. Either Robo Washington or one of your duplicate washington from Civ V?
Robo Wash will help when I get Bioshock Infinite started but your Duplicate wash could be good trading fodder :3
Have you seen the trading forums? Where people literally have up to 500 cards? >.< Lord. They just love hoarding don't they?
Also: I got my first booster pack :3 3 cards for Goat Simulator. I used them to get 3 Saints Row IV cards ^-^

Re: Gen Chat XXXVII: Samus is Sexist
So I just closed the last chapter in the Mass Effect Trilogy. Amazing series and as it stands my opinion on the ending makes perfect sense. While yes I had the extended cut installed and it did fill in the plot holes that were missing from the original ending. I'm quite impressed with it, Yet i can see and fully understand as to why people would get pissed off with the original ending but to be fairly honest though, the ending is suppose to happen that way rather we like it or not cause it makes the most sense.

It's immensely stupid.
This sums up the raison d'etre of the Reapers and I find it so fucking stupid it ruined the whole thing for me. If I ignore this though, i can get fond memories of ME1 though.
(spoilers(?) btw?)

Okay, I just got done watching this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CKHLDgz2zE
Bioware has crafted the best ending ever for a video game that mind fucked so many people in to a rage for something they don't even understand let alone realized what they were doing. So Mass Effects now stands as my all time favorite trilogy of last gen. Thank you bioware.

Pretty sure that theory was debunked by Bioware.

Re: Gen Chat XXXVII: Samus is Sexist
We talked about it on steam, but another thing, Bioware doesn't come off as the type of company that would do that. It makes absolutely no sense. Not to mentioned that it drove the founders of the company to eventually quit it. They got a ton of bad press, so I don't see how that could be it at all. Again, all seems like wishful thinking from a very select few who want to claim that they were "smart enough" to understand bioware.
