Darth Luna wrote:It's short and a quick watch. It's just pure fun to me, that's why I love it.
As for FMA: Brotherhood, everyone keeps telling me to watch it. That it's what the original should have been, but I lag it because I wasn't big on the original one.
Luckily I never watched the original, but everyone says this one is like 10x better and I believe it. It's so good so far.
And I'll give Problem Children a watch one of these days.

- M3:
- What was up with Sasame? I didn't think what Akashi said was hurtful or anything, he just said that he was searching for her in his dream. Then she cries and then gives him the cold shoulder. I just don't understand.
And is the second argent connected with Emiru's soul? So many things unexplained.

What is that brutally violent anime called?
Bio Hunter?
Has anyone seen it? OR what about Battle Angel?

Re: The WSS Anime Thread
Hmm...sounds familar, but I can't quite pinpoint what you mean. Well, not for "bio hunter," but for Battle Angel, there is a manga called "Battle Angel Alita." Not sure how violent it is, though.

Alita is Battle Angel - yes. We have an OVA of I think the first book or two but that's it
It's not uber violent but it did tear a dog to shreds :'(
I always wanted to find the manga though.
Bio Hunter I remember from some VHS I owned. They showed previews of these really nuts violent anime and Bio Hunter was one of them,.

Ya I plan to read it where the anime stopped. It sounded like the anime stayed true to the manga, except for the very end.

Hotarubi no mori e - Really lovely and touching story about a girl falling in love with a spirit. I'm teary eyed, now. Giving this a 9/10.

Re: The WSS Anime Thread
When I discover a new series that has both a manga and anime, I find it hard to decide what to experience first. I usually find that the manga is superior so I watch the anime first just so that I won't be watching it and be annoyed at how they're leaving stuff out.

This is my philosophy as well.
Also a new preview of the new Brynhildr came out today and it looks like there's a chance that they're going to butcher the series, just like Elfen Lied. Fuck you Studio Arms. Just ruined an amazing series. And Brynhildr was one of the favorites of the season as well, but if they do indeed pull this shit then it's going to be one of my least favorites. The manga is fucking awesome and then the anime was following it perfectly and with 4 episodes to go they now decided they wanted to change everything? Why didn't they do that from the beginning!?!?!?!? At least they could have included all the awesome arcs from the get-go and skip all the build up arcs. Why lead us on this whole time and then just fuck the whole series at the end?
They shouldn't have even adapted the series. It's either you fully commit or just leave it the fuck alone.

Re: The WSS Anime Thread
The problem is that they're adapting a currently running series. I'm guessing that they're gonna try to give it an anime original ending because they probably don't plan on making anymore for it.

Finished The Garden of Words, was pretty sweet. One of the most visually stunning shows I've ever watched, though.

Well ya, I know that. But that's the problem.
They should just make seasons. This way, if they want to continue it later they can actually continue it. Unlike an original ending were its one and done. What if the DVD sets have really good sales? They would be screwed because they ended the series! It's a really dumb decision if you ask me.
