Oh! I saw an old Action Johnny driving a car on my way back from the YMCA!
LOL really now?
And the reason I asked was :

Furthermore - Venture Brothers can kiss my ass. Trying to scour for new info. James Urbaniak (dr venture) is only tweeting about Trump. and the only hint of a release date for 6 is maybe...MAYBE this October...
I am fed up. I'll still watch it but I am seriously losing my interest in the guys. No more blu-ray purchases either. Not spending over 20$ for 8 episode seasons.

I love the new level cap of 50 in Splatoon; I just wish the new leveling system was not complete bollocks.

It makes turf wars a complete waste of time. In the old version you could still lose but gain a decent amount of XP if you had done well. Now you can get a maximum of 2 points when you lose, and 5 if you win. (3 points for winning) Which means that no matter how well you do, it is ultimate up to the match making system to whether or not you get any points. That is 5 points for winning and 2 for everything else mind you.-Mazer wrote:how is it bollocks?
Now compare this to ranked mode: If you perform well in Ranked you can earn anywhere from 1 up to 10 points in battle. If you it times out and you lose you get 5 points. That means you get just as many points for losing in ranked as you do for winning in turf wars, individual player skill be damned.
It is not so bad for ranked, but turf wars is a complete waste of time if you are trying to level up (Which I am) If you got one point per 200 points of ink I would be fine, but that was arbitrarily capped at 400, meaning you can get no more than 2 points based on player skill, less than half to total available.

Also - *very sad face as he looks at prices to replace his missing games* 180$......
Also - gamestop offered me a quarter for my Disney Infinity, the stand, and 6 figures. I just took my stuff and walked out.

Once you reach level 20 all leveling turns into a splat fest like ranked system, however it makes turf wars (The mode I like the most) a complete waste in terms of leveling up.

I am thinking of getting my nephew a used player guide for Twilight Princess. He is having trouble with the game, and besides, 400 page books are fun.

Re: Gen Chat X^2+Y^2=C^2: "I totally forgot what number we're on" edition
Yep. I HATE the new leveling system in Splatoon. Just spent 5 games pulling the weight for my entire team, and getting a measly 2 points for every match because of it. To whoever thought it was a good idea to cap the XP bonuses at 400 ink points, Nintendo should fire immediately.
Once you reach level 20 the leveling system changes to something similar to the one used during splatfest. Instead of ink points being directly converted into your level, the level is run off of a much smaller pool of points fed by objectives during the game, in concept this is good, and works very well in ranked. BUT NOT AT ALL IN TURF WARS!
In turf wars 200 points of ink gives one point, 400 gives one more, and then it stops completely; while winning gives three. This means that no matter how well you do, you will ALLWAYS be fucked over if you have bad team mates. I loved the old leveling system because even if your team lost, you still got a lot of xp based on your own work. Now you are completely at the games mercy of whether or not it gives you a half decent team; All because some idiot arbitrarily locked the points at 400, something which even the worst players can do on average. Or you could just go play Ranked because fuck you if you like turf wars.

*Rant continues*
In one game of ranked I can earn just as many points as I can in five games of turf wars.
