so I just decided to contact charter to see how much it would cost for charter spectrum compared to what I currently pay (I pay 57.99 base for 30mbs internet :/)

first thing they tell me when I ask.
"you can easily find prices for our services on our site"
my response.
"no you can't, you basically make it impossible to find any prices, why do you think I am taking the time to talk to you :/"
"charter spectrum internet is $59.99 which includes our modem and router."
"an oh, a $5 fee per month for wifi."
"and that is 60mbs and no data cap right" (which is listed all over the place on their site)
"no internet plus is a 250gb data cap, and we don't allow third party equipment."
"ah thanks, I'll keep what I have since it's cheaper and likely the same thing."

but yeah... serious... a wifi fee? fuck charter so hard, I wish I had options :/

Time Warner also charges for using wifi on their modems. Thing is, I can at least buy my own modem...which I did, but it died and I had to go back to using one from TWC.

So Batman Arkham Knight has officially relaunched on pc and...... it's exactly the same as it was back in June (ie broke to shit). The only difference now is that you can buy the season pass

Great honest trailer XD. And Screw WB games...I hate how NetherRealms is being handled now with all the preorder and dlc bullcrap, I hate how they treat the PC Gaming crowd...they are a serious pain in the ass.

The ONLY reason I'd consider a PS4 is to get a working version of Arkham Knight and MKX

nope I have charter or ATT or some local company called frontier or satellite which I would never wish on my worst enemies.

Att is twice as expensive, and frontier only offers 6mbs so I am stuck with charter. It's not the worst thing in the world.

the worst part is TDS just expanded out to my neighborhood with fiber.... BUT it ends either a half mile to the north, a half mile to the east, a quarter mile to the south :/ heck there is even some west... there is just a little bubble where I am that they won't do because it's an industrial area even though there are some apartments here.

That's because it's a monopoly. All the telecom companies have pretty much aggreed to stay out of each others territory and limiting competition to the bare minimum. I have two choices where I live. Time Warner Cable and ATT.
TWC is the lesser of two evils for me, right now, but I used to have ATT since it was cheaper. Eventually they added the data cap, raised prices, but didn't raise speeds. I switched over to TWC, which has been decent, but very spotty at times. Also, they raised the price on their equipment. :/

I just bought my first router that was MINE (not my parents). I love it. My wireless USB dongle...not so much. It hates the USB ports in the back of my PC for some odd reason
