Ultimately it is still all animation though, regions really should not factor into the matter.  Dividing it by style simply makes much more sense.

You're reminding me about the Dark Sous "is it JRPG or Western RPG?" fiasco.

Region does matter when the stuff that's made there is so indicative of where it comes from. Japanese culture is so prevalent in the shows they make, even if they aren't taking place in Japan.

I will admit even thought they are American made shows I consider rwby. avatar, and korra all anime, also studio ghibli is anime, they kinda are their own style of anime now though, lol

I consider none of those shows anime. Ghibli still falls clearly under anime. I don't think it's that radically different.

I love it, but it's really polarizing. So you may or may not like it. Also, Shinji, protagonist, is really annoying. But it's great in spite of him. Not to mention that it just has some really epic moments.

Yeah...kinda. All movies come after the series. It's confusing as fuck, though I enjoyed them.

Definitely give it a shot. Evangelion is like the godfather of modern mecha shows and is a good deconstruction of the genre.

Shinji is a fucking terrible lead character, but that's one of the reasons why the show is great. The original anime I thought was good, but it was very abstract and Shinji annoyed the living shit out of me. Plus, the "ending" sucked. So I gave it a 7/10.

End of Eva was sweet and I think the rebuild movies are better than the original anime, though some development for characters like Asuka are cut out but it's still great. The second movie was my favorite by far and it was completely epic. I ended up giving that a 10/10, fantastic movie.

so it's basically a great mind fuck? lol I'm still waiting on it

Re-watching Kyousou Giga. I love this show so much.

Finished it, loved it more this second time through.

what's Kyousou Giga about?

It's about a family made up of supernatural beings. Another point, I love the music. Op/Ed and everything in general for it.
