Re: Anime Chat VIII
Ya Luna, I'm looking forward to a lot of Summer shows too. Though it's going to be hard for Summer to beat Spring for me, this season has been awesome.
Everything always looks so awesome in the beginning, but you can't judge a season until your on episode 6 of everything, that's when you know if the season is generally good or not. Beforehand the seasons always look so promising and then you start to see the true colors as time goes on! I always get so pumped in the beginning and then as it goes on I wonder, "what happened to my excitement?" I think it's good to be excited in the beginning, but it's also good to keep in mind that shows will probably not be as good as you think they're going to be. Though if you come out of season and are like, "dammit! I can't believe it's over!" That's when it's a good season. The only time that's happened to me is for Fall 2013 shows. Though this Spring may come in second for me, we'll see.
But Summer does look awesome, it's just, I'm curious to see which shows I'll start to lose enthusiasm for as the season goes on. It happens every season.
Anyways, yesterday I finished Ping Pong the Animation. I gave a it a 7/10, good unique show but I did not think it was as masterful as other people said it was. Though, I think this would be a show that Koenig would like though. So, I recommend it to Koenig, just try to get pass the odd artstyle, you'll get used to it, I promise

Oh I know well not to fall for hype. I'm just saying that for once, I'm looking forward to an absolute ton of shows and I mean a TON of shows. We both know that not all adaptations go well. Isuca anime adaptation was fucking awful. If I recall correctly, someone said that the first ep was an adaptation of the first 15 freaking chapters, seriously! Anyhow, the ones I tend to enjoy most are the ones I know nothing about going in.
Also, Spring has really been good this years. Kekkai Sensen, Snafu s2, Sidonia S2, Re-kan!, Shokugeki no Soma, Kyoukai no Rinne, Punchline, Danmachi and Yamada are all series that I'm really enjoying.

I'm enjoying all those a lot except for Rinne, Rekan, and Sidonia (still need to watch the first season). Also on top of that I'm liking Seraph and Fate.
And I'm letting BBB sit for now because I just get so lost in that show. I do love it, but I find it hard to pay attention to the subtitles and the stuff going on screen. Usually this isn't a problem for me, I can do Monogatari and DRRR!! just fine, but this show I just can't do it. I watched the dub episode and I'm liking it SO MUCH more now. I can actually understand what's going on now. It's kind of like Baccano in that, it's a lot easier to follow and enjoyable in english for me. Also since it's in New York I like the english voices. Also this show kind of seems like a show to be marathoned because it has so much detail to it. It's hard to remember stuff week to week.

Holy shit, Sound! Euphonium has just shot up to my top 5 of the season. Have you been watching this shit Luna!? If not, you binge watch it right now!
Here's my impressions of the most recent episode if you wanna glance at it. Episode 8 was so much hype.

Currently watching Episode 273 of Gintama.
In the Manga, this was fucking hilarious, so I can't wait.
EDIT: Yep, still funny.

I've only seen the first ep, found it "meh," so I never continued. I may marathon it after it's finished.ColumbianLoom wrote:Holy shit, Sound! Euphonium has just shot up to my top 5 of the season. Have you been watching this shit Luna!? If not, you binge watch it right now!

I thought that too, but it really becomes great at like episode 4. It was one of the animes this season I didn't care about at first and now it's one of my favorites. Definitely give it a marathon at the end of the season or sooner.

Re: Anime Chat VIII
Sidonia no Kishi is such a surpring show if only for the fact that Tsumugi is probably the cutest character of the season. Dammit she's adorable.
Kekkai Sensen continues to be fucking great. I really like not only the main cast, but the villains as well. Also, Rie Kugimiya doing a "non-tsundere loli" character needs to happen more often.
