Hmm....I don't recall if it was a demo or full game, since I only played a little bit before I just stopped out of disinterest.

The only 2 legit claims against the game are:

1: Graphics are pretty muddy. I notice that a lot more now that I am playing on a modern TV. Lots of enemy detail is lacking and hard to see.

2: Holding only 2 guns sucks balls. Always struggling to find explosive weapons when bosses arrive.

Other than that, the game is pure Duke. Crude humor, the sex, the nudity, the one liners, the breaking of the 4th wall. Like if I pick up Poo, he yells at me "What kind of sick freak makes me do this?!"

I thought the 2 gun limit was patched out?

I think the game is a near perfect Duke Nukem sequel. Outside the issues I mentioned, everything else in the game is very duke. Strip Clubs, the commentary on the environment, the action is very fun and solid. Controls pretty well, the 1 liners.

I beat half of the game on the hardest setting with very little frustration so I feel the difficulty is right on (playing the 2nd half on easy because I just wanna relax now and finish the game without much difficulty).

It has your classic Duke weapons like the Ripper, Shotgun, different alien weapons. You can shrink and stomp enemies, get steroids that 1 hit explode enemies, drink beer to withstand more damage, upgrade your health by boosting your ego (interacting with your environment such as reading porn mags, throwing rats into microwaves, punching out idiot NPCs - one based off of Chistain Bale - signing autographs of fans etc).

Got to the level that introduces the Freeze Ray which allows me to Fatality enemies with my fists easier...you get to drive the Duke Mobile Monster Truck which handles decently and cannot tip over (it can but you can flip it back easily). It's fun crushing enemies with it also



I find it pretty enjoyable tbh. It's not flawless at all but it isn't this broken ungodly mess the masses try to portray it as.

Love the fact the first mini boss of the game is the boss from Duke 64





Also enjoy the fact he openly mocks other games - stating only pussies wear Space Armor (While looking at a corpse from the guy from Dead space) and there is one area where boards cover the entrance to a cave and he goes "I may need a Crowbar" before shooting the boards out of the way.

A door demands a red keycard so he pries the door open with his hands (if I remember that correctly) - he is a riot

Duke Nukem Forever has a Christian Bale rant joke. That alone is a massive point against it.

Seriously? A crappy internet meme that became irrelevant literally a week after it happened, being referenced in a game three years later. It's the worst, laziest type of humour imaginable. Fucking Family Guy level humour.

I just realised that Family Guy actually did do the same "joke", but at least it was only about 8 months too late in their case.
