It makes me wonder how many of these mangas you've been sharing with us will be aniamted. I mean, a lot of them seem pretty decent so I'm guessing there's already publishers thinking about making some of these series an anime.

Just saw Ernest and Celestine; a French animated movie about a sweetheart mouse and a grumpy bear.

Nothing new with the storyline but it was just a very sweet film. I love Celestine's attitude Very Happy

Pffffffffffffffffff get that out of here!

That's a cartoon through-and-through.

Not really mazar, unless there's overlap with anime/manga/manwha/manhua, it'll just be out of place. The discussion for those won't flourish in this thread.

I wish, but I don't know of any manwha, webtoon or print, that have been made into anime. I should look into it, though. This one has actually made me cry and got me super depressed at the death of a character. It's been a while since I've reacted like that. I have to upgrade it from "cool" to "really fucking good."

I'm surprised that there hasn't been many manwha/webtoons made into animes. I'm guessing that there's japanese versions of the manwhas so why hasn't any studios try making an anime of it? I mean, they're just like mangas!

I mean, Tower of God should have at least gotten an anime by now.

And this one made you cry? I still need to read all those other manwhas that you recommended me.... I keep on procrastinating!

Tower of God is just....that's easily my favourite webtoon ever. It's so freaking good. An anime of it would be so fucking welcome. My question is why haven't Korean studios or companies animated some of these.

Tower of God, The Breaker, and Noblesse should all have animated adaptations. Legend of Maian would also be great as an animated show. There are plenty more that I'd love to see get anime adaptations, so why not?!?! And the more I read of this one, the more I'd love to see an anime of it too.
What I love about webtoons is that they follow the "seasons" format of a show, except they're obviously illustrated. This gives a clear starting and ending point for an anime adaptation.

While I would tend to agree with you on that, a cartoon is a cartoon regardless of where it came from, and as such I think anime should be classified under the same thread.

Anime is a section of the greater Cartoon block. So while you can say that all anime are cartoons, you can't say all cartoons are anime.

I 100% agree with you. I really wonder what's the hold up because some of these series are pure gold!

I totally agree. Cartoons aren't anime per se. They're very different.

And I just watched the second episode of Tokyo Ghoul. It's a very interesting show I can't wait to see where it goes.

And now it's time to go watch Glasslip!

Watched:
Argovellen: Still typical, don't expect much, hopefully it turns out somewhat interesting. Nothing I hate, at least.

Tokyo Ghoul: MC is a whiny bitch, but it's early on and considering what's happened to him, I'm letting it slide....just hope it doesn't go on for too long.

Glasslip: It's still in the "interesting" stage for me. I'm waiting to see what's gonna happen with the Touko and Kakeru. Also, seems there's a love polygon in this one, brining me back to Nagi now.

started clannad after story. I watch one episode in English just cuz I was curious about what the dubbed voice actors sounded like, yeah I have a feeling if I started with the dubbed I probably wouldn't like it as much, the subbed is so much better

edit: went back and saw a review on amazon saying that there were 16 episodes, so I'm guessing that means the OVAs are included XD

Rail Wars ep was good and I also enjoyed Tokyo esp. Reminds me of Zettai Karen Children and it's spinoff.

Using Tri-Gun, FMA brotherhood, and Baccano as a base reference, are their any similar anime you would recommend?
