It's just gonna be extremely hard to Portugal to get through, they have such a horrible goal difference that they'd need to win by a large margin and have the US lose by a wide margin(it's pretty much impossible for there to be a tie breaker with Germany since that's the widest margin). So mainly, we need to worry about Ghana. If they win and US loses, then that's the most likely elimination scenario for the US.

Ecuador played so freaking well against France. It's kinda heartbreaking that they don't get to pass on. Oh well, that's how the ball rolls sometimes.

It's because they went conservative after the score. The game plan switch to "don't let them score." They should have just kept up the attack.

Also, Costa Rica being screwed by the refs, fucking pisses me off.

It was a real heart breaker. I was driving all of yesterday, so I listened to it in the car, but the entire game Belgium and Tim Howard where kicking ass. Everyone in the USA team except for Howard, didn't come out. It was pretty pitiful.
