Sports stuff thread: Superb Broncos
So I've made this thread to not bog down the other areas with the sports' talk, since sports fans are a minority here...it seems. Anyhow, feel free to discuss or post about whatever interests you. I'd post a different thread for different sports, but I don't think there's enough overall interest to warrant that, here.
Anyhow, dat NFL free Agency. Broncos getting both T.J. Ward and Aquib Talib. O_o
That's the biggest surprise for me. I had heard about D.Ware possibility getting cut or Whitner leaving via free agency, so those didn't surprise me all that much.

It seems the Broncos are also going after D.Ware.
And I've never been a fan of March Madness or college basketball.

Really? Basketball is my most followed sport whether it's college or professional. I love it.
Maybe that's because I played basketball in high school, but still.

My favourite sport to watch and follow is football, but my favourite to play is basketball. I'm a Lakers fan, but the only other fan of NBA, my older cousin, loved the Bulls and hated the Lakers(he would always root against them). I remember back when I was in middle school and Kobe and Shaq were winning, we'd use to watch basketball together. It was so awesome seeing the playoffs. The kings and the Trailblazers were always tough opponents and the matches were immensely fun to watch. I miss all that. :/

YOU'RE A LAKERS FAN!?!?!!?!? HELL YA! I am too!
I am from Southern California afterall, so naturally my family planted that seed in me long ago. I love the Lakers to death! They're going through a rough period right now and probably won't recover for a couple of years, but that's ok. You can't be on top forever.....
I vaguely remember the Shaq days. I was too young to appreciate and understand it.
Though I was completely into it when they won the championship in 2009 and 2010. Those were some good times!

Dude, it was awesome back then. I was in middle school at the time. I remember how much people celebrated when we got the 3-peat.
And yeah, it's such a rough time right now. I try to check in during playoffs, but the Lakers tend to get bounced so quickly. :/
And I'm from Los Angeles, born here, so of course I'd be a Lakers fan. Don't like the Clippers though and I'll never switch to a Clipper fan. Although I do tend to support any L.A. team in any sport. Secondarily would be a Cali team.

I despise the Clippers! Bunch of posers and phonies!
It's very rare when I route for the Clippers. I guess I sort of routed for them last year during the playoffs because they were like the only good California team in the Playoffs.
But ya, I even prefer the Golden State Warriors over the Clippers. My hate for them will never go away.
Anyways, that must have been so much fun watching all that go down! Watching Shaq and Kobe play must have quite a sight to see!!! I'M JEALOUS!!

It was awesome. I remember one playoff series that ended between the Kings and the Lakers off a 3 pointer made by Derek Fisher in game 7 at the buzzer. So awesome.

So much happening in NFL free agency. D.Ware is officially a Bronco, but Revis is now a Pat. Decker signing with the Jets just feels like doom for him.
Anyhow, in NBA news, seems Phil Jackson is joining the Knicks. I believe as a GM or something. What makes it a jab at Lakers fans is that he's also married to the owner of the team. -__-

Lol at Revis singing with the Jets. I don't think he'll make them much better. And I'm stoked the Ware is now part of the Broncos! Next year is going to be another great year for Denver.
And it's kind of cool that Jackson is going to the Knicks because when he was a player he played for the Knicks! And won two championships with them! He's going back to where he started.

She's the owner now, the previous owner died last year. :/
Either way, he's technically part of the ownership of the Lakers, yet he'd be involved in another team.

I know this is late, but I'm still fucking pissed that the Avalanche lost Minnesota Wild.
Avalanche should of had that series in the bag!

I should be watching all this playoffs, but I'm too lazy to plug in my tuner card to my pc. Also, a lot of it is on cable channels, so I'm screwed on that end.

Re: Sports stuff thread: Superb Broncos
Well yeah, also I just don't want to pay for shit I'm not gonna use. I don't even watch tv anymore outside of sports and Game of Thrones, but if I want to watch these things, I have to get certain tiered packages, which is a fucking rip off.
Even then, other shows that I do like I can watch online, like the Daily Show or Colbert Report on hulu the day after.
Honestly, it's just not worth it at all for me and it pisses me off that more and more sports are being put behind that wall. I hate that if I want to watch Lakers or Dodgers games I have to have cable and be subscribed to a specific channel. It makes no sense at all for me to have to do that since I live in their city.
I've grown accustomed to not having all Niners games available, but that's only because they're from SF and I'm obvious in L.A.
before I end this, lolducks, lolclippers and lolangels
