Only the one of the character with left leg forward downloads. The others just appear as broken PNGs

Yay!
I wonder if the black dots are from semi transparent pixels... I did my best to clean the page, but the eraser only does it one shade at a time instead of completely removing it.

That could explain it...
Also: I noticed you flipped the image for foot forward and back. No worries on that but you need to watch the shadowing.
Notice how the shading doesn't flip in the walk cycle?

True. That said, is it just me, or does is the Link sprite from Lttp actually several different sprites layered on top of each other? I say this, because his torso, head, and legs seem to move independently from one another, giving him a sort of bobbing up and down motion to most of his animations.
I don't have the skill yet to work with more than one layer at a time outside of tracing, but I could try to implement a bobbing motion to future sprites and relegate movement to each body portion individually.

Another thing I have noticed while researching, is that only the objects that can be interacted with (brush, pot, enemy, hazards, chest, etc) have solid black out lines; everything else has smoother color edges that blend into the background. It makes sense all things considered, but I had not noticed until working with sprites today.

The image around the actual character is supposed to be transparent (or pure white) But instead 90% of it is black with a few stray pixels of white.

I went over every frame with the Eraser multiple times until only the dotted background of paint.net remained. I do not understand what I am doing wrong.
