I suspect the Switch version was not well optimized for the game considering it had been so heavily customized for the wii U originally.

The Switch version has the best performance, especially while in portable mode. The Wii U just isn't capable enough to do what the game is demanding of it.

You must have a defective copy because for me the frame rate only ever got bad when I was in a town.

I only have frame-rate issues under very specific circumstances.

I.E. Lots of grass and shadows mixed with a lot of fire particles while I am doing a huge attack

No. I watched Subtitiles a lot. Just usually prefer dubbed so I can do other things around the house instead of focusing on the words.

You guys are lucky. The frame rate dies on me nearly every time I turn the camera around.

Also, to be more specific, dropping from 30 to 25 I find irritating while others may not. Not all of the drops I'm getting are 30 - 1. I can't stand any frame rate drops in my Zelda >.>

Actually it drops in intervals of 10. It has been observed multiple times. Also what happened to the PS3.

especially since her first big episode just aired this last week in english.

I am so excited for that final confrontation. I wanna do more things in the world before I fight him though. I have 4 memories left, want to upgrade my armor some more, get a few more hearts, and work on some side missions. I want to finish the game but I know when I do, I will probably take a long break from it. After burning through 2nd Son, Terraria, and now this one, I am sure I'll need a game-over break for a good month or so.
