On another note, I have 3 series, that bring the humor and cuteness, this season. Working!!!(season 3), Non Non Biyori Repeat(second season?) and Joukamachi no Dandelion are cute and overall enjoyable.

So, got Serial Experiments Lain on bluray/DVD and there was a preview for Steins Gate and it looked pretty dang intriguing. What is Steins Gate about?

@Loom already watched them.

I just finished season 2 of Sidonia. I really like it, just like I did the first. My praises and complaints are essentially the same too: Love the animation and setting, hate the way most female characters are used. That said, I do greatly dislike the new intro theme, though it seems the producers were of the same mindset and used the original theme during the season finale; I thought that was an excellent touch. One last note: I love the new character, I hate how they sound.

Group of college buddies make a time machine (of sorts) and proceed to sequentially alter the world around them to the point that everything is fucked up- they then have to do their best to un-fuck everything by changing time back to how it was.

Yes, but that voice does not fit at all. It makes it very hard for me to take the show seriously half the time that I hear that character speak.

It may just be the shows I'm watching but I'm starting to notice a trend, especially with Lain, where anime tends to break the first and most important rule of writing: "SHOW, don't tell." Instead, anime is "Tell, don't show."

I watched the dubbed version. I rarely ever use subs if a dub is available.

It might also be a translation thing, but I remember hearing it. It was between the possessed antagonist and the scientifically minded girl (I can't remember either of their names) I am probably wrong on this next part, but I think the show said that they used genetic material from Nagate to impregnate the enna.
