GenChat XLIV: Ghosts and Goblins

I only played COD MW4 and the only reason I did was because I loved the storyline and the idea of the game being set in modern times for once. After I completed the game, I did put several hours into MP with some friends of mine, but after my Xbox RROd, I never bothered renewing my Gold membership.


Only other game I played online was Burnout Revenge (On the 360)

I did get COD 3 for the Wii. The controller really made the gameplay that much more fun ^_^

Their site is wayyyyyyy too bright. I prefer it to have a black background.

I loved COD4 single player. Back then, I would have said SP was first, but since then, it's been all about MP. SP storylines have been nonsensical bullshit that bored me more than entertained me.

I feel like it trivializes the deaths of soldiers. Like their not such a big deal that you can put them in a video game and absentmindedly press a button to just try to get passed that part and to the action. Granted, that's me filling in some of the holes, but I only do that because I'm considering what game is doing it. Hell, I think any game doing it would be wrong, anyway. Well, maybe not wrong, but just in really bad taste.

I love the image, though. Brilliantly satirizes the whole affair. Activision needs to remember what they're games stand for and doing something like that seems like nothing more than a sick joke.

No, it's totally the kind of bullshit they'd pull just to get exposure. Like the no Russian level in MW2, but that doesn't make it any less distasteful. What, are you defending them?

Actually, defending was too strong a word, just sounded to me like you were excusing them as them being them. Once again, only thing that can be done is not buying their shit, but nobody listens.

The problem is Luna, is the fact that most gamers now will buy anything that is just straight up fucking bad. Look at the sales for Watch Dogs, Destiny, COD, the list goes on. 3rd Parties will find there cheaper way to scam money from gamers and they just look at it as if its a great investment without reading between the lines. That's what pisses me off in gaming today.

Also I heard about this game that's on the xbone. it's called D4 dark dreams don't die, and it's made by the same people that made Deadly Premonition. And I heard it's pretty good.

From what I heard, yes. It has a different gameplay mechanic, but still has that DP vibe to it.

So far it looks like a Xbone exclusive. Sorry. But that's what DP was like at first right? it was originally an exclusive but eventually it found it's way to other platforms,so time will tell. but for now it's a xbone exclusive.

Anyhow, I can't say objectively that those games are bad, but I will say they don't interest me and that's as far as I can go. I will say that things mostly feel uninspired.
